In Q4 2021, several dining and restaurant apps in the United Kingdom saw varying trends in downloads and active users on the Android platform. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top five apps in this category, based on data from Sensor Tower.
McDonald’s UK experienced a significant fluctuation in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 53K in late September and dropping to around 8.6K in mid-October before recovering to end the year with around 32K downloads in the last week of December. The app’s weekly active users also showed variability, peaking at about 290K in mid-October and declining to approximately 237K by late December.
Wetherspoon maintained relatively stable weekly downloads throughout the quarter, with numbers ranging from around 13K to 18K. The weekly active users for Wetherspoon remained consistent as well, fluctuating slightly between 87K and 95K during the quarter.
Costa Coffee Club showed a steady pattern in weekly downloads, starting at around 12.7K and peaking at about 17.4K in late November. The app’s weekly active users followed a similar trend, maintaining around 126K to 132K users throughout the quarter.
Greggs saw a notable increase in weekly downloads in early December, spiking to approximately 43K from an average of around 10K to 17K in previous weeks. The weekly active users for Greggs followed this trend, peaking at about 75K in early December before settling back to around 31K by the end of the quarter.
KFC UKI – Order and Delivery experienced a gradual increase in weekly downloads, starting at about 12K in late September and rising to approximately 21.8K by the last week of December. The app’s weekly active users also saw an upward trend, growing from around 124K in late September to nearly 150K by the end of December.
